City of Holdfast Bay Mayor Stephen Patterson says, with support from State Government and Surf Life Saving SA, Council has moved to take immediate action to restrict public access to the Glenelg Breakwater while the lead agencies work together to seek a long-term solution, following the tragic drowning of a teenage girl at the site on Sunday evening.
