LG Sector Values and Behaviours

The LGA is a membership based organisation, established to provide a voice for local government in South Australia, and leadership for the sector. The Association works in three keys areas: leadership and advocacy, capacity building and sustainability, and best practice and continuous improvement.

Working with and for councils, the LGA drives efficiencies, identifies opportunities, and advocates for positive outcomes for councils and the communities they represent.

The LGA’s Secretariat has developed and implemented a series of values which guide the behaviours of its staff.  These values are listed below, and the goal is they will be rolled out for adoption by the entire local government sector in South Australia.
