Summary The fee for certificates of liabilities under section 187(3)(e) of the Local Government Act 1999 has been increased as have the fees under the Land and Business (Sale and Conveyancing) Regulations 2010 for contracts for sale of land or business fees. Updated fees are included in this circular.

The South Australian Government Gazette of 13 June (pgs 1917 and 2041) set out new levels of fees and charges for 2019-20 which come into effect on 1 July 2019.     

The fee charged for a certificate of liabilities on rates and charges under section 187(3)(e) of the Local Government Act 1999 (the Act) increased to $35.00 as of 1 July 2019. 

Additionally, the fee for the certificate of title to land has increased for the 2019-20 financial year.

The new fee structure is:

  • Rates only search - $35.00
  • Full search - $60.00 ($35.00 + $25.00)
  • Expedited search - $72.25 ($35.00 + $37.25)
