LGA submissions
A key function of the Local Government Association is to promote the interests of local government, primarily South Australian councils and their communities.
An important part of our role is to contribute to the development of legislation and policy that impacts on councils and local communities.
The policy positions of the LGA are informed by and captured in the LGA Policy Manual. This is developed and approved with input from member councils.
However, the policy positions of Federal, State and local government are continually evolving as circumstances change. The LGA is heavily involved in these processes.
On this page, you'll find recent submissions on policy development that the LGA has made on behalf of councils.
